It is with great regret that I must inform you all that Front Yard Fright will not be in operation for the 2011 Halloween season. I have decided to take some time off from haunting to focus on myself and personal life. I have recently relocated to the Cedar Rapids area and have been exploring my options down here.
Front Yard Fright has been my life for the past 6 years it has been in operation... It truly was everything to me. However, I have moved on to another chapter in my life and given the circumstances, operating the haunted house this year just would not be possible.
I would like to thank the 70+ volunteers that helped make my dreams come true the six years our attraction was in operation. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being such amazing, supportive people. Many of you are like family to miss and I will miss seeing your faces come October!
I would also like to thank the thousands of visitors we've had over the years. Waverly has been so supportive of me and my dream, and I truly thank you all for coming out and supporting us! I'd also like to thank the Waverly zoning and building officials for helping me get things up and going while being safe! I couldn't have done it without you.
Please know that this was a personal decision of mine but it was not an easy decision to make.
I don't think I will ever give up haunting... It's in my blood after all. It's not a hobby, it's a way of life and I will undoubtedly get back into running my own attraction. But until then... Thanks for the screams.
